Bessie Manuel Largent

Funeral services for Bessie Manuel Largent of Hessmer will be held on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 beginning at 11:00am in Escude Funeral Home of Mansura with Father Louis Sklar officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church Cemetery in Hessmer.

Bessie Largent, 83 passed away on April 19, 2023 at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria. She was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Hessmer.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Tanis and Justa Manuel; granddaughter, Jordan Largent; and seven siblings.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Nancy Williams (Mike) of Woodville, TX, James Largent (Heather) of Woodville, TX, and Peggy Gaspard (Timmy) of Hessmer; grandchildren, Travis Williams, Hannah Henderson, Cade Gaspard, Tristan Largent, and Evan Largent; and 9 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 24, 2023 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm with a rosary to be recited at 7:00pm, and from 8:00am Tuesday morning until the time of service in Escude’ Funeral Home of Mansura.
