Funeral Mass for Bertha Johnson will begin at 11:00am on Monday, October 27, 2025 Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Mansura with Fr. Blake Deshautelle officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery in Mansura.

Bertha Johnson, age 76, passed away at the Hessmer Nursing Home on Monday, October 20th, 2025.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Tauren Johnson (Rachel) and Marvelle (Kristi) Johnson; grandchildren, Mya, Lilian, and Nathaniel Paul; sisters, Rosa Batiste Harper, Veronica Batiste, Mary Batiste, and Dorothy Batiste Hall; and her brother, Glenn Batiste, Sr.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul, Sr. and Josephine Dupas Batiste; brothers, Paul Batiste, Jr., and John P. Batiste.

Visitation will be held from 8:00am to 10:45am on Monday, October 27, 2025, at Escude Funeral Home in Mansura.
