Bernadette Prevot

Bernadette Prevot departed this life on July 15, 2013 at her Lafayette residence. A native of Mansura, she was preceded in death by her parents, Buvens L. and Sybil R. Prevot, three brothers, Buvens L. Prevot, Jr., William Toups and Maxie Cortez and one sister, Constance P. Zimmer. Survivors include her son James Ingram III of Lafayette, and grandson Cameron Breaux of Slidell. Also surviving Bernadette are siblings Jeanette P. Robideaux and Elise P. Medrano of Lafayette, Jacqueline P. Poret and Kathleen P. Layfield of Mansura, Mark Prevot of Baton Rouge, and Peter Prevot of Ventress.
Bernie, age 63, was such a kind, giving soul. She loved to make people laugh and she did that often. She will be sadly missed by all of her sisters brothers as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She so loved her son, Jim her grandson, Cameron. Her little puppy, Benny, brought so much joy to Bernies life these last few months. He too was a blessing.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Martin and Castille of Lafayette and Escud Funeral Home of Mansura. Services are scheduled for Thursday, July 18, at St. Paul Catholic Church of Mansura. Visitation will be at 10:00am with services at 11:00am.
