Amel Stebo Tompkins, age 65, of Longbridge passed away at Avoyelles Manor Nursing Home in Dupont on Wednesday, April 17, 2013. Stebo was preceded in death by his parents Edward Ellen Tompkins two sisters, Malinda Tompkins Susie Walker and three brothers, Eafin Tompkins, Arthur Tompkins, and James Tompkins.
Those left to cherish his loving memory are, nine brothers, George L. Tompkins Shirley of Cottonport, LA, Jerome Tompkins of Evergreen, LA, Abraham Tompkins Kelly of Mosspoint, MS, Albert Earl Tompkins Patricia and Leo Tompkins Barbara both of Beaumont, TX, Judge Tompkins Dee Port Arthur, TX, Robert Brown Mae of Houston, TX, John Tompkins Martha Deerfield, FL, Johnny Tompkins Velma of Bunkie, LA seven sisters, Eddie Pearl Hurts of Mansura, LA, Essie Mae McNeal of Lake Charles, LA, Betty Hayward John, Adele Jefferson, Larry, Vickie Duckette, Gwen Williams all of Port Arthur, TX, and Eva Tompkins of Houston, TX. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
