Funeral services for Alton “Jessie” James of Mansura will begin at 11:00am on Saturday, July 31, 2021, at Escude Funeral Home in Mansura. Burial will follow at Jerusalem Baptist Cemetery in Mansura.

Alton J. James, age 69, passed away on Monday, July 12, 2021, at Avoyelles Hospital in Marksville.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children: Sharon Prevot, Catina Rhines, Vickie Prevot, Chastity Laws, Natalie Prevot, Marlene Prevot, Arlene Prevot, Elton Boyer, Frederick Lavalais, and Hope Jones; siblings, Ollie Mae Francisco, Geraldine Louis, Patricia Jacobs, Andy James, Jr.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Charlene Boyer; his parents, Andy James, Sr. & Ollie Jones James; and sisters, Wellor Murray and Eloise Augustine.

Visitation will begin at 8:00am until 11:00am on Saturday, July 31, 2021, at Escude Funeral Home in Mansura.
