Alfred Clyde Watson, better and affectionally known as "Danky", was born April 5, 1975, to Gulicer Watson and the late Clyde Bains, being the oldest of twelve siblings.

On Sunday, April 14, 2024, Danky transitioned peacefully at Avoyelles Hospital in Marksville, La. 

Funeral service for Alfred Watson will begin at 1:00pm on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Simmesport. Burial will follow at Church Cemetery. 

Visitation will begin at 11:00am until time of service on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Simmesport. 

 Alfred "Danky" Watson accepted Christ and was baptized by Pastor Derrick Lewis of Greater New Hope Baptist Church in Simmesport, La. He later joined Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Henry R. Wright, IV in Simmesport, La. Danky attended Batchelor High School in Batchelor, La. He was a man of many trades as evidenced by his performance on employment as a heavy equipment operator, painter, sandblasting, landscaping, and numerous odd jobs. It was through his employment with Vaccaro's that he developed a life-long brotherly friendship with Keith Vaccaro until Keith's passing. Danky later moved on to work on his present job with Viserion Grain where he continued to develop lasting friendships with all his co-workers until his passing. As a hardworking man, Danky dedicated himself to taking care of and providing for his family. To do a hard day’s work was a pleasure for him.

Alfred "Danky" Watson leaves to cherish his memories, the love of his life, soulmate, and fiancé, Marlania Wright; his loving mother, Gulicer Watson (Aristile); three sons, Marcellus Guillory, Donte Mason, and Michael Wright; two daughters, Alfreona Watson and Symphoni Vaughn; six grandchildren, Sa'Niyah, Kailyn, Loyalty, Melanie, Malaysia, and Jamirian. One godchild, Ezekial Williams; eight sisters, Jacqueline, Corniece (Gary), Lakeisha (Whitney), Rose (Edward), Veronica, Minister Alisha, Donta, and Kanisha; three brothers, James, Tramone, and Roman (Quotasha); eight aunts, Wanda Litzsey, Ship Marie Lott (Jackie), Lucille Stelly (Joseph), Lucinda Record, Gladys Butler, Gloria Augustine (Amos, Sr.), Doris Augustus (Artist), and Effie Smith (Charles); five uncles, Allen J Watson (Melba), Charles Watson (Cynthia), Sugar Ray Watson (Sherika), Roosevelt Howard (Mercy D), and Bruce Bains (Marie); father-in-love, Merrick Frank, Sr.; two sisters-in-love, Selina and Keisha; two brothers-in-love, Fredrick, Jr. and Merrick, Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Danky is preceded in death by his fathers, Conrad Cornelious and Clyde Bains, maternal grandparents, Albert & Elmira Watson; paternal grandparents, Buaker Henry & Addie Bains; nephew, Fredrick Watson; father-in-love, Fredrick Wright, Sr.; mother-in-love, Willie Faye Frank; brother-in-love, Hendrick Wright; aunts, Eula K. Watson, Gail Simon, and Zora Lee Gates; uncles, Albert Watson, Jr., Al Freddie Watson, Earl K. Watson, Howard Litzsey, Sr., Walter, Norris, Isiah, Ray, Buacker, and Alvin Bains.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Escude Funeral Home of Simmesport.
