Alfred "Freddie" McGlory, Sr.

Alfred "Freddie" McGlory, Sr., age 82, passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2025, in Jackson, LA. 

Alfred was born in Pineville, LA and raised in Eola, LA. Alfred was baptized at the age of twelve. In his younger days, he loved to play and shoot pool, dance to music, and enjoyed eating fried fish. 

Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Mary Ann Jones, Helen Rose McGlory (Anthony Sampson), Betty Jean Jacob, Aritha Moore (Johnny), Ruby Jean McGlory (Terry Kyle), Alfred McGlory, Jr., and Lisa Blanson (John Blanson); a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, David Compton (Marie), Ruby Young, and Evelyn Simmons.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Lou William McGlory; daughter, Alfreda Batiste; mother, Madia C. Berry Dixon; father, Joe McGlory; grandchildren, Derrick Lee McGlory, Jane Michael Jacob, Jefferie McGlory, and Phillip O'Brian McGlory; siblings, Alfred Prescott, Leo McGlory, Robert McGlory, and Nella Rose McGlory.
