Alan Keith Nesbit, Jr., age 52, passed away at his residence in Marksville, LA on Thursday, September 3, 2026.

Alan had a passion for the things he loved, especially cheering on the Atlanta Braves and LSU. He was a devoted fan and admired Braves legend Chipper Jones. Alan also had a tremendous love for animals of all kinds, but none held a more special place in his heart than his beloved dog, Mollie, who was truly more than a pet- she was his baby and one of his most faithful companions. Alan also loved his wife’s cooking. She preferred making sophisticated dishes they had heard about, and they always turned out amazingly. He looked forward to these meals immensely and raved about them to anyone who would listen.

Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 22 years, Jennifer Nesbit; mother, Rhonda Nolen Duncan (Dan); paternal grandmother, Naomi JoAnn Nesbit; brother, Ryan Duncan (Laura); step-sister, Miranda Perkins; aunts, DeNeica Nesbit Ikerd, Judy Vaughan, and Brenda Longiano; uncles, Lemule Richard Nesbit and Don Nolen (Debbie); nieces & nephews, Payton Duncan, Aeris Dauzat, Ryder Duncan, Jensen Duncan, Drake Dauzat, Logan Morrison, and Kylie Perkins,as well numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Mollie Nesbit; father, Alan Keith Nesbit, Sr.; paternal grandfather, Lemule Rex Nesbit; maternal grandfather, Harold Nolen; maternal grandmother, Geraldine Nolen; mother-in-law, Alice Jackson; grandmother-in-law, Geraldine Villemarette.

A memorial gathering to celebrate and honor Alan’s life will be announced at a later date.
